It’s a familiar story. Trying to find the right projector, with the right installation tools, all the connectivity options, exceptional performance and not exceeding that all important budget. Look no further than Hitachi’s range of entry level installation projectors to tick all these boxes.

The CPX4021N / CPWX4021N / CPX5021N complete a very attractive series of models from Hitachi engineered with the installer in mind and performing beyond the expectations of your customer. Resolution options inclusive of XGA and WXGA and brightness between 4000 lumens up to 5000 lumens mean these projectors will meet the demands of most applications.

It’s when you discover the installer tools on these projectors that you will appreciate their flexibility. Horizontal and Vertical lens shift mean you do not have to be concerned with lens offset. You know how many times you have had to work around an air conditioning duct or light fixture. A massive 1.7 x Zoom means you can replace most existing projectors without going to the trouble of relocating the mounting position. A longer life filter will mean accessing the projector for regular maintenance is a thing of the past.

The CPX4021N / CPWX4021N / CPX5021N also come standard with USB presentation mode (just in case you can’t find that dreaded VGA cable), PC-Less presentation mode and the ability to present via the LAN. AMD Series Power Amplifiers Get On-Board DSP Processing

Australian Monitor’s AMD Series of power amplifiers have been incredibly popular since their release, providing state-of-the-art installation amplifiers with outstanding features at contractor friendly prices.

The latest release of the AMD Series is about to arrive and has been upgraded to provide an even greater feature set at the same impressive price point.

The latest AMD amplifiers feature comprehensive on-board DSP processing, allowing you to tailor your audio system’s performance to the most demanding acoustic environments. Third-party control of the AMD power amplifier is via either Ethernet or RS232, and we have also added the functionality of 24VDC operation.

The AMD Series still features 70 volt, 100 volt or 4 ohm output per channel and comes in a rack-friendly 1RU chassis.

HAL - Rane’s Expandable DSP Platform Has Arrived!

Meet HAL - an expert in room combining, paging and distributed audio systems. This groundbreaking architecture is dimensions beyond other solutions

HAL with Halogen software is more than just another DSP drag-and-drop system. It will revolutionise the way you design and install systems. HAL is fully compatible and easily integrated with existing Rane products like gain-sharing auto mixers and Rane's almost endless variety of RADs.

A HAL system consists of a central DSP system with 8 local inputs and 8 outputs. Expansion is via RAD’s, a range of wall and desk mount i/o boxes which can be up to 150m from the central unit over CAT5e. Further expansion is available via multiple EXP1’s - each adds a further 8 RAD ports to the system. With a combination of EXP1’s and RAD’s, a HAL system can expand to 80 x 48. Included in the RAD range is the Pager 1 paging console, perfect for zone paging applications.

HAL also supports Rane’s new series of Digital Remotes, which are simple to use programmable source selectors and level controls.

Halogen software easily guides even novice users through what used to be complex tasks in just minutes. No intricate matrix mixing or presets are required for room combining and paging. No wiring required to distribute pages and background music to multiple zones.

In addition, the HAL and Halogen software check the status, location, CAT 5 wiring integrity, and that audio is flowing in all peripheral devices, so you know your system is properly connected and ready to go.

Rane's new Halogen 1.1 software adds Ethernet control support for third-party control systems such as Crestron. Standard TCP/IP set and get ASCII text messages control levels, selectors, presets and toggle actions within Halogen. Since the same Halogen software code runs on both Windows™ and within HAL hardware, third-party control developers can test all their code using only the Halogen Windows software. Use only software to test your control systems software code and buy the hardware only when the install date arrives.

The HAL system is proving popular for a wide range of applications, from room combining, to zone paging to bar and club system processing.

Herma Shines at CEDIA 2012

Friday 11th May saw the close of a very successful CEDIA show for Herma Technologies.

This was Herma's first trade show under the Hills SVL Group umbrella and was a great opportunity to introduce Herma Dealers to the expanding range.

The stand showcased our existing successful projection products - LP Morgan, Panamorph and the wow of anamorphic movie viewing and SunBrite Weatherproof LCD panels. It also introduced Vivitek projectors and Prodigy home control, both new to Herma's product offering.

Dealers new and old commented positively on Herma's inclusion to the Hills SVL Group.

Based on the iLive pro-touring FX system, the Xone team developed FX algorithms with BPM conscious parameters and tight spectral control, customised to perfectly fit the DJ environment. As the loops and FX are automatically synchronised to the tempo of the track, it is very easy to build some amazing grooves and soundscapes without problems of latency, low fidelity and the general hassle often associated with using software and laptops.

The icing on the cake is the flexible input matrix, where any audio source can be selected on any or all of the channels. Different processing can be applied to the same track on separate channels and you can fade between them, or a phrase sampled in the looper of one channel can be added to the mix later in the track.

Xone K2 MIDI Controller

The Xone:K2 is a compact, slim line universal MIDI controller – incorporating a 4 channel soundcard, for use with any DJ software.
